Seems like ages! I was actually trying to save something to my “notes” on my iPad, when I wondered, “What do I have in my notes?”
I found this silly little poem I wrote while crossing the Southern Ocean in our vessel, the Endeavour, returning from our Antarctica adventure. Just indulging in a little memory sharing today.

A chance idea on a lark?
Yet not a quirk we encountered Quark!
On the internet looking for trips.
Our travel agent had the knowledge and tips.
Antarctica was chosen, excitement abounded.
The call for fellow mates was sounded!
New friends and faces, easily met.
Unexplored realms a uniting bet.
Wildlife abundant with glacial ice beauty,
Oohs, ahs and photos, our visitor’s duty.
Impossible to capture our emotions each day.
Thankful for guidance along our way.
The journey made grand by the captain and crew,
Expedition team leaders, experts true.
We return with souls nourished, hopes and spirits high.
Dreaming of new horizons to try.
“Onward ever and ceasing never!”
The motto of our leaders on the Ocean Endeavour.
